2008 Legacy Workshops
At the Legacy Conference, we prefer to go deep rather than wide in our workshops. Thus, on registration day, you will be asked to choose one of the following workshop tracks to receive four hours of training in the related field rather than jumping from classes, as they will build on each other.
We also refrain from stating who will be teaching each of the workshop tracks to encourage participants to choose the track based on a desire to learn in that field rather than choosing a track based on who will be teaching it.
We have also rated each track based on three categories. Those listed as "beginner" are for those who are either new in the faith or have had little training in the basics of the Christian faith. Those listed as "intermediate" are for those a little more advanced in the faith but have a need and desire to go deeper. Those listed as "advanced" are for those who have a good grasp of the beginner and intermediate topics and are at least 16 years of age.
Workshop tracks will be selected at registration on Thursday, August 14.
2008 Workshops
1. Basic Bible Doctrines (Recommended Level: Intermediate)
Description: Learn what the core essentials of the faith are- those things we must adhere to as Christians.
2. Evangelism (Recommended Level: Beginner)
Description: Learn the pure message of the Gospel and the necessity of and practical steps towards sharing your faith on a daily basis.
3. Community Impact Ministry (Recommended Level: Intermediate)
Description: Learn how to make an impact in your specific community for the glory of God. Learn how to minister in your community by becoming the hands and feet of God.
4. Hermeneutics (Recommended Level: Advanced)
Description: The art and science of Biblical interpretation. Learn how to correctly read and study the Word of God.
5. Basics of Disciple-Making (Recommended Level: Intermediate)
Description: The heart and soul of our conference. Learn how to leave a legacy in the lives of those around you by passing on to faithful people the things entrusted to you.
6. Spiritual Disciplines (Recommended Level: Beginner)
Description: Learn the basic tools of living a faithful Christian life including a regular devotional life, prayer and confession.
7. Biblical Manhood (Recommended Level: Advanced and age 16 and older)
Description: The world tries to portray what a man is, but check out Scripture for the true role and character of a man.
8. Biblical Womanhood (Recommended Level: Advanced and age 16 and older)
Description: The world tries to portray what a woman is, but check out Scripture for the true role and character of a woman.
